In 2005, Black Water Development Corporation in cooperation with the City of Watertown hosted the North American Freestyle Kayak Championships. Athletes from across the United States and Canada competed and had the opportunity to test their skills on the famous rushing rapids of the Route 3 wave in Watertown, NY.
The 2006 Blackwater Challenge was a great success as part of the first world cup events in Freestyle Kayaking.
At this point we are preparing for the 2007 BlackWater Challenge in which Watertown will be hosting the North American Cup 2007. This is an exciting event an will feature competitors from all over the world.
